Overview
 

The Tech Source Raptor 2100 FPS is a digital flat panel display subsystem designed for use in high resolution, high performance, color graphics applications such as air traffic management and vessel traffic control. Consisting of a single-slot PCI card and a 28.1" flat panel monitor, it provides a comprehensive array of high-end graphics including 2048 × 2048 resolution, 2560 displayable colors and 32 independently addressable overlays.

The digital flat panel monitor is designed to fit in existing ATC consoles and is 85% lighter, 100% brighter, and consumes 66% less power than current CRT monitors. In addition, it has software-controllable brightness adjustments.

Multiple overlay configuration is supported through the published X Server Extension called MOX (multiple overlay extension). Double buffering is available using standard software interfaces such as MBX multi-buffering extension for X Server) and DBE (double buffering extension). Specialized hardware performs back buffer screen erases at an extremely high speed.
